Remo D’Souza date of birth is 2nd April 1974. He was born in Jamnagar, Gujarat in a middle class family. He completed his schooling from Gujarat itself. When he was giving his 12 class HSC exams, he realized that the studies were not his cup of tea. He had a keen interest in dancing. But, Remo D’Souza father want him to join the Indian Air Force and serve the country. He had some other dreams to serve the country as a dancer and choreographer. He was dancing since his school days. Remo D’Souza real name was Ramesh Gopi. After, he realized that he need to move towards dance, he left out studies and shifted to Mumbai to fulfill his dreams. He never had any guru in dancing, but followed Michael Jackson and tried to copy him. He learnt too much watching Michael Jackson dancing on TV. He never received any professional training in dancing. Whatever he learnt, was based on what he saw on TV and videos.

He got recognition when he and his team came first in All India Dance Competition. Ahmed Khan noticed him and auditioned him. He was selected by the assistant of Ahmed Khan to shoot first song of Rangeela movie. Ram Gopal Verma loved his character too much and kept him in all scenes of movie. This was the first break to Remo D’Souza. From then onwards, he started assisting Ahmed Khan and assisted him for one year.
Anubhav Sinha gave him the dirst video, which was Sonu Nigam’s album Deewana. This album became a big hit. He then worked in many videos with Anubhav Sinha. Remo D’Souza got his first break in Bollywood movie ‘Dil Pe Mat Le Yar’, which was not successful on big screens. Then he was again given a chance by Anubhav Sinha in movie Tum Bin, which was a big hit. After he choreographed the song ‘Ishq Samundar’ in ‘Kaante’ movie, his career took off to new levels.
